Apple overcharged you for apps or In-App Purchases
Because of Apple's App Store rules, consumers have been paying more for apps than they should. You may be entitled to compensation.
Sign upWhy you overpaid in the App Store
Apple holds a monopoly over the distribution of apps on iOS and iPadOS devices. Because developers have no alternative way to reach iPhone and iPad users, they are forced to pay Apple a commission fee of up to 30% on every app sale and In-App Purchase. This often leaves developers with no choice but to pass these excessive costs on to consumers through higher prices.
Three impact statistics:
Apple takes up to 30% of every purchase
Apple charges developers up to 30% on every app sale, subscription and in-app purchase, a fee that gets passed directly on to you.
Billions in overcharges passed to consumers
Developers across the globe often have had no alternative but to raise prices to cover Apple's fees, leaving consumers to bear the cost.
No alternative for iOS users
iOS users cannot download apps from any platform other than the Apple App Store, leaving them locked into Apple's pricing.
